Making mistakes

Making mistakes

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re doing something.” ~Neil Gaiman

As a perfectionist, I find making mistakes to be excruciatingly painful. And yet, I’ll never grow or accomplish anything if I’m not willing to risk making mistakes, getting things wrong, or being imperfect.

So this is my New Year’s wish for you myself and you. May we all be willing to make mistakes in the pursuit of growth and making a difference in this world.
