It is easy to see spending time in a mindfulness practice as a waste of our time that could otherwise be spent doing something more “productive.”
But who, in the midst of a love affair, thinks of spending time with their beloved as a waste of time?
When we recognize that mindfulness is engaging in a love affair with all that is, all thoughts of wasting our time on it fade away to be replaced by a longing for yet more time with the beloved.
