Our inner wisdom

Our inner wisdom

“Our inner wisdom is persistent, but quiet. It will always whisper, but it will never stop knocking at your door.” ~Vironika Tugaleva

When we’re in pain and it feels like our lives are crumbling around us, it can be hard to hear our own inner wisdom through the cacophony of anguish hammering at our hearts, but it’s still there, still whispering, still knocking at our heart’s door even then. We just need to quiet ourselves enough to listen, and it will guide us.

The path to self betrayal

“Ignoring your intuition and denying what you know in your gut is self betrayal.” ~Maryam Hasnaa

In a culture that undervalues intuition and non-rational sources of knowledge, we all have learned to discount that knowing. I’m all too often guilty of it myself. Time has taught me that ignoring that knowing always winds up being a place of self betrayal and regret.

What knowing are you ignoring or denying right now? What would it take to stop betraying yourself and act on that knowing?

The best guide in life

“We have all a better guide in ourselves, if we would attend to it, than any other person can be.” ~Jane Austen

How well do you listen to your inner guide? If you’ve been looking to others to guide your life and decisions and not getting the best results, it’s worth the time to learn how to attend to your own inner guide. It’s well worth the practice it takes in learning to listen!

In the wilderness of your intuition

“You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you’ll discover will be wonderful. What you’ll discover is yourself.” ~Alan Alda

There is no greater journey than the journey into the wilderness that is our intuition, and the rewards of this journey are out of the this world.

But we too often prefer to stay in the safe comfort of our surface knowledge of the world.

What great rewards we miss when we do this!

Have you made the journey into the wilderness of your intuition?

If so, what have you discovered?

If not, what’s stopping you?
