It does no good to beat ourselves up for not knowing in the past what we know now with our greater life experience. How much more fruitful it is to forgive yourself and move on into learning and growing with your new knowledge.

Where we are going in life matters, but how we travel through life on our way there matters even more. How are you traveling through life these days?

I can get so caught up in aiming toward arriving where I’m headed that I miss the journey, but the journey is where real life is lived. The journey itself is our home.
How does that perspective help you slow down and be in the present moment of wherever your journey is right now?

We tend to think of happiness as something that comes to us from the outside when we have met all of our goals.
And it is true that meeting a goal can bring a burst of happiness.
But greater happiness can be found in the journey of working toward the goal with all that we are.
That sense of purpose can’t be beat as a source of lasting happiness!
