New beginnings

New beginnings

“New beginning is intrinsically disorienting and anguishing; it builds on the wreckage of what has been outgrown but not yet relinquished.” ~Cynthia Bourgeault

I’m in the process of preparing for multiple new beginnings in my life (whose form is not yet fully defined), and I’m proactively preparing for that by actively clearing out as much of the old stuff that I’ve outgrown to make room for an easier transition into what’s coming.

If you are facing a new beginning in your life, what that you have outgrown might you benefit from relinquishing in order to make room for that beginning?

Let that baggage go

Let that baggage go

Keeping baggage from the past will leave no room for happiness in the future.” ~Wayne L. Misner

You can honor your past and where you’ve come from without holding onto to all of the past’s baggage. Let that baggage go to make space for growth and happiness in your present and future!

Releasing the need for control

Releasing the need for control

“Try to relax. Nothing is ever really in our control, yet we make ourselves sick far too often trying to control the things that we simply can’t.” ~Ella Hicks

This is especially true when our lives feel broken and bruised. We grasp desperately for control when there’s none to be had. Learning to let go can make a difficult time just a little easier as we put our lives back together again.
