How hard it is to see our own light when we are in the darkness. Surround yourself with people who can reflect it back to you when you lose sight of it yourself.

Life fully lived is a life on fire with purpose and enthusiasm. If you’re still trying to live safely in blandness (and aren’t we all in some way?), what would it look like to set your life on fire? Who would help fan your flames to keep you alive and glowing bright?

As we approach the shortest day of the year tomorrow (here in the Northern hemisphere), it’s helpful to remember to find the beauty in the darkness of our lives as well as in the bright places. They each have their place and their value.
