“If we can go beyond blame and other escapes and just feel the bleeding, raw meat quality of our vulnerability, we can enter a space where the best part of us comes out.” ~Pema Chödrön
When we learn to sit with our pain and vulnerability and face it head on, it can become an opening to our best selves. It’s like a birth—hard, messy, painful, and full of risk, but also a place of bright new beginnings.
“I want to unfold. Let no place in me hold itself closed, for where I am closed, I am false…” ~Rainer Maria Rilke
It’s so easy to close myself off thinking that it will protect me, but those places where I am closed off, I am being false to who I am meant to be. I want to learn to unfold and open myself to life, even when it feels scary, because living in truth ultimately seems safer than being closed off. What do you think?
