“Do what you feel in your hear to be right, for you’ll be criticized anyway.” ~Eleanor Roosevelt
I really hate criticism. My perfectionist brain produces more than enough of that on its own with the help of others.
One consequence of that is that I tend to limit myself to expressing things or doing things that feel “safe” from outside criticism, but that hasn’t stopped the criticism.
It just keeps me imprisoned in the fear of what I can’t avoid anyway.
I’m slowly learning to say and do what feels right to me and allow that to be seen … even when others don’t approve.
It’s very scary, but it’s also incredibly liberating!
Where has the fear of criticism kept you from doing what you know in your heart needs to be done?
